Oil Painter
I began to paint in midlife. Having a career in human relations and counseling, I rarely saw “the finished product” of my work, as people are continually evolving and changing. Oil painting gives me the opportunity to start with a blank canvas and use the mighty power of my God-given imagination to begin, work and end. Ta-da! Over the years, I received my fine arts training with gifted artists, including Jeff Hurienko, Jean Johnson Ranstrom, and most recently, over the past 13 years, with the Living Master, Mary Pettis. I am an observer of nature and love capturing the beauty of what I see and what I feel in oil paint. As a commissioned artist for Courage Cards, my artwork has been seen in over 500,000 homes and businesses throughout the United States through the distribution of catalogs and promotional pieces in addition to TV, radio, and print advertising. My paintings have been exhibited in galleries locally, in New York City shows, and Italy. As a professional artist, I am honored to have my artwork hanging in private homes and galleries throughout the country.
